What is Mounjaro?

How Is Mounjaro Taken?

Mounjaro is a once-weekly injection with the active ingredient Tirzepatide. Each pack of Mounjaro contains one pre-filled pen. The pen contains 4 doses of Mounjaro. The pen would either contain 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 7.5 mg, 10 mg, 12.5 mg, or 15 mg.

Mounjaro can be used any time of the day, with or without meals. However, it’s recommended that you use it on the same day every week.

Mounjaro is injected under the skin (subcutaneous injection) of your stomach area (abdomen) two inches apart from the naval area or upper leg (thigh). It is recommended that you switch the site of injection every week to minimise the chances of injection site infections.
